How it started

ASB was created in 1998 as a result of my own creative journey. I wanted to learn to draw and to understand painting techniques. However each course I enrolled in for beginners was not designed for strictly beginners.
I was confused about the creative process and in hind sight it was one of the best things that ever happened to me.
From my experience I created ASB..
I know how it feels to embark on a beginner's course in art. And I know that your inner critic may end up tagging along too, but I know that you are secretly excited as well.
Without a doubt, none what so ever, this six week course will reveal your hidden creative potential.

What we do

Get ready to have an awesome experience where you will learn to
draw (because I will train your eye to see). You will learn to work with oils, acrylics and pastels. . We don't have enough time to master them but you will get amazing results.
And we talk about art, creativity and the creative process.
And there's more. This course is smothered with inspiring stories of artists and their creative process. These stories will open your mind about what you think and feel about creativity and art. All of this I call Quest For Creativity and it is the empowerment part of the course - the self development course for that little artist in you. (and yes-our inner critic gets a free ride here).

You enrol of course! Check the calendar for workshop dates, then clear those 6 Wednesday evenings between 6.30 - 9.30pm. The 6 week course costs $450 and you need to purchase some cheap supplies too.
